Shonky & Robin Ordell – Born On The Same Day Vol.1

Review: Stoned Pilot is the Berlin label founded and operated by Shonky, who appears here alongside fellow left-of-centre techno producer Robin Ordell on this somewhat weightless but still raw haze-house EP, in true lo-fine style. 'Born On The Same Day Vol. 1' suggests the first in a series, and indicates that both artists share a birthday; 'State Of Solina' brings glassy dream-pads, while 'Rabbit Hole' incurs the sense of self-loss in a technical dream-state, and 'PPG Disorder' goes full on wacky sound design and UR-style ad-libs.
