Shonky – Centrosociale

Olivier Ducreux aka Shonky has remained a darling of the French minimal and edits scene for a good twenty years or so, and this new one - appropriately titled 'EP' - adds no complication to said feat of maintenance. The third release on Ivan Smagghe and Niv Arzi's Lithuania-focused imprint, Shonky turns out four lo-fi foot assignments here, working into each mix retro-sci-fi laser fire, spaceship takeoffs, weird tonal wobbles, touchstone Speak & Spell samples (classic), and all other manner of go-to antics.
