M.a.n.d.y. Booka Shade – O Superman 2025

21 years ago, German tech-house heavyweights M.A.N.D.Y and Booka Shade dropped their take on Laurie Anderson's 1981 classic 'Oh Superman', re-inventing the cut as a hypnotic, DC10-friendly workout in which her vocalisations and twisted vocal samples ride locked-in beats, stabbing acid bass and restless hand percussion hits. Here it returns for 2025 in freshly remastered form, accompanied by Robag Wruhme's killer 2008 'Pumper-Nikkel' minimal techno re-wire, plus two more recent 2020 revisions. Geordie hero Man Power teases out the warmer and dreamier elements of the original, before building the track into an acid-fired, percussion-laden tribal house beast full of live drums and sweat-soaked hand percussion hits, while SIS drops a deep and dreamy micro-house chugger.
