YYY – 白797

Review: One day, the tsunami of releases from Yoyaku's YYY series will turn to a steady trickle. As it stands, the Paris-based shop, studio and distribution outfit is riding the wave with all the confidence of a professional surfer. YYY797 is a little more rubbery and elastic in feel than some of the series' recent releases, with "797A" sounding like a contemporary tech-house head's interpretation of early '90s deep house - think bouncy synth-bass, rolling drum machine rhythms, bubbly electronics and dream house style chord progressions.
