Various – Trance Pearlz Flashback #03

Review: Trance Pearlz returns with its third compilation, gathering four extended trance cuts from the Netherlands and beyond: Krizz & Shah open with 'Space', a long-sought analogue classic where simply-synthetic sine strings and early-OS beats collide like butter to toast, as though it were destiny. Barthezz contributes the kinetic 'On The Move', upping the production value for a ping-stab hooverer of hyperglycemic proportions. The B-side balances the set with Peyote's brooding, proto-psy prison-breaker 'Alcatraz' and Phynn's polycrystal soarer 'Lucid': all are great, emblematic classic trance moments, better and lesser known, but loved equally by these local facilitators of the early sound.
