Sweater – Future Moves

Review: Philadelphia producer Sweater checks in with Future Moves for the label's seventh outing, reactivating himself after the 'Post Play' EP with a broad, vocoder-strong five-track trick, tracing his take on a variable set of fave US club styles. 'U'n Me + Future' leads on a casual, faintly ghettoish synth-coder snap; then 'Purple Love' faintly sweater and dreamier, edging deeper into a mode we like to call "banger hypnosis". The madness only continues on the B: Sweater's run to date leans on versatility over signature stamp, and here that plays out in quick shifts between moods without losing reverence coherence.
