Shkedul – NORD 011

Berlin's Shkedul back in the fold after eight years off-grid, returning to Nord with its eleventh peak in sound, a four-track 12" picking up threads from his earlier, stripped techno run on the label. No big reset here: 'Kinetic Energy' does what it says, taut but with just enough slack in the rope to keep those transverse waves wobbling, while 'Paranoia Drive' contrasts with a spidery, itty-bittier slink through the tunnels; acid zits and and transient-shaped drums spit like disembodied robot limbs. Flip for a darker mirror image of the same feel in 'Kinetic Energy' and '444'.
