Mochakk Feat. Joni – Da Fonk (Remixes)

You may remember Brazilian house master Mochakk's 'Da Fonk' single, a loopy, thickset and French Touch-influenced slab of house heaviness that first appeared digitally back in 2022. Here it finally makes it to wax, with the two original versions (B1 and B2) being joined by a swathe of fresh and previously unreleased remixes. There's plenty to set the pulse racing across the triple-pack, from Marco Corola's locked-in and loopy disco-techno take (A) and Confidence Man's trippy, mind-mangling take, where Mochakk's disco-era piano sample plays a more prominent role, to Cinthie's hypnotic classic house rub, Bronka's shuffling acid-breaks take, Salrace Brothers' deeper and more soulful pass, and local lad DJ Fuzil's fiendishly bass-heavy, Barrio bass head-nodder.
