Luigi Tozzi – Plastic Venus

Review: Non Series out of Spain has always had a very focused take on techno - it's stylish, streamlined and though perfectly reduced, is never undercooked. Luigi Tozzi is next to make his entry into the catalogue with four deep excursions. 'Helix' is swampy and grubby with liquid bass and sparse pads. 'Bionic' is cleaner and more automated with hushed voices and grainy textures fleshing out the low rhythmic throb. 'Shifted' brings a spaced-out and psychedelic edge that takes you into the cosmos and 'Plastic Venus' shuts down with tightly wound sci-fi melodies. Heady stuff.
