Review: It's been a while since Kevin De Vries last released some solo salvos, and two years since he dropped a couple of quietly impressive collaborations (one with IIlario Alicante, the other with Innellea). So was 'Dance With Me' worth the wait? It's certainly an ear-pleasing, attractive and club-ready proposition, with seductive female spoken word vocals, delicate lead lines and foreboding, angular electronic motifs dancing atop a throbbing, arpeggio-style bassline, trance-esque percussive builds and soft-touch techno drums. Remixer Kolch opts for a deeper, darker and even more pulsating vibe on the accompanying flip-side rework, adding big room riffs and spiralling, sci-fi style electronics.
