Katakana – Return from the Wasteland

Cannily named after the smash Sion Sono romcom film, Munich label Love Exposure continue their run with a new reissue first from Katakana aka Julian Foddy, landing over two decades after an onslaught of noughts singles on Little Fluffy and Sonambulist. Those records, including 'Pay The Price'/'Wasteland' from 2001, sketched a lean progressive house sound bottling the moods of after-hours London; here he circles back with a direct reissue of the same Sonambulist release under a repro'd name, 'Wasteland' unrolling in long, patient phrases and 'Pay The Price' keeps the same, snapping temperature.
