Jeku – Transcendence
Out of stock
Following a trio of EPs on his own Non-Temporal imprint, Jeku brings his brand of timeless retro-futurism to Haws for the very first time. His hardware-driven releases frequently reference psychedelic underground dance sounds of the ’90s, and his latest four-tracker is no different. Opener ‘Transcendence’ lives up to its title by doffing a cap to early-to-mid-90s trance – all throbbing, arpeggio-driven bass, memorable melodies and classic progressive house flourishes, while ‘Aulto’ sees him put his own hallucinatory, mind-altering tweak on bleep techno. The rising star reaches for deliciously mind-mangling TB-303 acid lines on ‘Fixed Gear’, which sounds like a fusion of vintage Orbital and Psychick Warriors Ov Gaia, before rounding off a fine EP with the deep, warning and melodious techno haziness of ‘Needless To Say’.
