Rotterdam electrician Geek christens Damnfresh as a brand-new sublabel of the much-longer-running DAMN imprint, and boy are these new ones total chargers. Release envelope be damned: every sound on this GTA-themed one is as snappy as a mousetrap, from the stuttering monobass of 'The Dog Sound' to the gated 808 rims and gated verb snaps of 'Laaaser Groove'. Only 'System Zero' pops the hood to get a glimpse of the beyond, swelling basses and arps evoking the simulated, gridlined edge of the universe.
