Sandwell District co-founder and all around techno legend, David Sumner aka Function drops a absolute bombshell of an EP on his own Infrastructure imprint, the label co-run with Inland. This latest EP is a reissue of some sort, a homage to some his best and greatest productions over the years and a taste of wider retrospective due on the label next year. “Isolate” is a subtle, minimalistic groove and “Montage” is a bleak, industrial monster for the warehouse sets. “Immolare (version)” was one of the biggest anthems on Sandwell District, while “Descending” is the sort of hit-you-in-the-face belter that has inspired a whole generation of Berliners in recent years. Essential to say the least.
