Extrawelt – Eigensender

Review: German duo Extrawelt land on Furthur Electronix for their fifth album, Eigensender. It’s the first time they venture away from Sven Väth’s Cocoon mothership for an LP, lending themselves a freedom to experiment with a slightly different sound palette. It’s still their signature, powerful and hardware-centric ethos though, where big-room techy cuts sit side-by-side with glossy breaks, unusual dancefloor experiments and a healthy dose of acid. With each track expertly arranged and constructed to move a room, the varied sounds of Eigensender won’t leave your record bag for a long time to come.
