Eira Haul – Deep Rays

Review: Fresh from last year's well-received four-tracker on R.A.N.D Muzik, Berlin producer Eira Haul joins Gene on Earth's popular Limousine Dream label. He appears a neat fit, musically speaking, given a trademark sound that wraps spacey, hypnotic and trippy musical motifs around tactile tech-house and deep house grooves. Check first the heads-down delight of opener 'Gado2', before succumbing to the wide-eyed dreaminess, chunky bass and rushing piano stabs of title track 'Infinite Rays'. 'Resin' pushes this nostalgic-but-contemporary sound further in search of sweat-soaked peak-time thrills, while 'Deep Field' is a classic slab of rolling deep house chunkiness.
