DJ Koze – Pick Up

Review: A month ago, on a late-night, post-gig drive to Vienna, Austria, DJ Koze commandeered the aux cable in our car to play a selection of his favorite music—everything from Bibio to Cesária Évora to Drake’s “Faithful,” all at window-rattling volume. Cueing up 9th Wonder’s hip-hop instrumental “SirBlue!!!,” he marveled at the elegance of its sample-based construction. “It’s beautiful!” he said. “Just two elements, and it could go on forever.”
