Diego Infanzon – Test Your Luck

Uruguayan DJ/producer Diego Infanzon is known mostly for his work on Christian Smith's Tronic imprint, but he's also racked up releases on such respected labels as Intec, Saved and Sous Music. Here, he comes to US label Cabaret with a new four-track EP that opens with the full-bodied title track and its distinctive bell-like synths, then moves on through the strings-heavy Detroit techno of 'We Are All Connected' and the squelchy, sci-fi tinged 'Fulmina' (a cut that could work on house, techno and prog floors alike), before climaxing with the aptly-titled 'Since 1991' which takes this listener, at least, back to a time when Reactivate compilations were numbered in single digits and the UK Top 40 played host to a surprising number of Belgians...
