Review: Visitors open shop with 'VSTR001', a first V/A trailing a loose circle between Australian heads and a choice couple of well-placed overseas fixtures. Venda sets the pace with 'Yellow', a patient, low-lit driver with soft chord haze and a gently flexed swing, before Jay Tripwire slides in with the rather forward 'Thiic Ass' - with its clipped drums and daresay gyatty bass - nodding to decades in the Canada house firmament. On the flip, Flud (Ewan Jansen) runs 'Vibrate (Live)' straight from the machine, rougher round the edges, live take feel intact, while Cosmjn locks 'Dasbit' into a tighter, minimal frame, percussion snapping clean over a tucked-in groove.
