Alcatraz – Giv Me Luv (Sébastien Léger & Jerome Isma-Ae Remixes)

Review: Briefly during the mid 1990s, Alcatraz (AKA production duo Jean-Philippe Avience and Victor Imbres) were big news, racking up loads of remix credits. This was all down to the success of their 1995 debut for Deep Dish's Yoshitoshi label, the muscular, Tenaglia-at-Twilo style big room throb of 'Giv Me Luv'. That near 11-minute epic can be heard in all its glory on side B of this essential reissue. On side A we get two fresh 2026 interpretations: a lighter, always-evolving tech-house take from Sebastien Leger that boasts incredible sound design and stereo panning (ideal for turning and twisting heads in the club) and a dark, throbbing modern big room update courtesy of Isma-ae.
