Sasha – Hollow Sun

Following an extended run of collaborative singles (Cortese, Franky Wah, Marsh, Joseph Asbhworth and Artche have all featured), Sasha goes solo with a suitably summery dancefloor workout, 'Hollow Sun'. On side A, we get 'Hollow Sun 25', a deep, humid and gently breezy affair in which sparkling, trance-tinged 1990s progressive house style riffs and bubbly TB-303 acid lines rise above a rolling deep house groove. Flip side 'Hollow Sun 24' is warmer, sunnier and breezier, with rushing riffs and summery piano motifs joining his trance-tinged stabs and starry chords atop a shuffling groove. Throw in some typically emotive breakdowns, and you have a modern classic from progressive house's original superstar DJ.
