Lusu – Move 2 The Groove

Review: Dutch sharp club gear duo LUSU take a decisive step forward with 'Move 2 The Groove', their first solo number for Adam Beyer's Drumcode. Though formed only recently, the pair built a momentous backing through underground floorfillers and a high-profile collaboration with Hi-Lo on 'Dizzy', followed by outings on Hilomatik and Eli Brown's Arcane imprint. The new two-tracker seats them firmly in the main room, pairing tough, stripped techno frameworks with crisp contemporary production, their specialty being minimal, spare breakdowns unfolding into massive but controlled techno spaces, all the way through to 'Afterlife'.
