Mood II Swing – Do It Your Way

Mood II Swing – “Do It Your Way” (12″, GO-42) is a timeless slice of ’90s deep house bliss that still resonates on dancefloors today. Originally cut in 1996 and beautifully remastered for later repressings, this 12″ pairs groove-laden depth with classic Mood II Swing artistry. The title track is a sleek, long-form house roller driven by rolling basslines, warm keys, and that signature swung rhythm that made the duo household names in the underground scene. Clocking in around nine-plus minutes, it’s meditative yet energetic, perfect for peak sets and late-night journeys. Flipside cuts “All Night Long” and “I Like It” extend the vibe — the former leaning into deeper, soulful grooves while the latter wraps things up with a breezy, lighter edge. Overall, “Do It Your Way” encapsulates Mood II Swing’s knack for merging classic New York house warmth with fluid, timeless production — an essential pick for DJs and house purists alike.
