Revelation was a short-lived New York City-based house pairing that should not be confused with the 70s soul and disco group. They crafted just three EPs and the Atmosphere label is reissuing them having started with ‘First power’ back in January. Chapter 2 features four more brilliantly futuristic techno cuts, with ‘Odyssey’ going first. It’s got bubbling synth lines and steely, shimmering drums with a high-tech soul feel. ‘Arrival’ then has more gurgling cosmic waves and clanking hits looping back and forth before ‘Resurgan’ explores a floating gore that glides through the cosmos with serene pad work for company. ‘Masochist Trip’ closes with some crisp breakbeats.
