Casablanca, an ancient port city in northern Morocco, is known for beaches, hashish and blue skies. But no, the Casa Voyager crew, named after the city’s main train station, don’t make disco or sunny house. Instead, they specialise in weirdo electro and techno that freaks out European afterhours, snapped up by vinyl buyers as soon as each release hits stores. The Anticlimax, the label’s third vinyl release, presents more oddball jams from founder OCB, who’s also released music as DJ Booth. Across its five tracks, acid mixes with electro and broken beats for a heady sound that’s equal parts funk and feeling.
