This will be of interest to historians of the Manchester music scene. It was initially released on Factory and if you thought that label was mainly for spindly, lovelorn white boys then 52nd Street were a black soul band who make strutting jazz-influenced funk. They were joined on this release by the mysterious Be Music on keyboards who turned out to be a moonlighting Bernard Sumner. A vital slice of history and a brilliant record.
