Janeret – Beyond

Janeret has finally got round to releasing LP number two, and this time it lands on vinyl in limited numbers. It’s light years ahead of its predecessor and, sonically speaking, more in keeping with the immersive, sci-fi soaked deep house sound he’s been cultivating over the last few years. The set begins with a classically intergalactic ambient excursion and ends with a sunny and jazzy slab of drum & bass, but in between we’re treated to an impressive array of tactile, sparkling, shimmering and emotive deep house workouts seemingly tailor-made for late-night stargazing, escapist daydreaming and open-air DJ sets at sunrise. A genuine triumph from a producer on the rise.
